Messy Science for Pre-school Children

What is Messy Science?

Pre-school children have an innate curiosity about the world they find themselves in, and a strong desire to understand it. They love to learn through experimenting, whilst discovering how things work, and thinking about things that don’t work as you expect them to. Messy Science is an opportunity for children to explore the world around them, and further their understanding of how things work in a hands on practical way.

During each workshop, the children will be encouraged to describe what they see / feel / think, and to predict what might happen. Some experiments will be associated with a story, others will be presented as a challenge which the children will be encouraged to solve. The workshops are designed for parents and children to experiment together, creating something that they can take home with them.

What will we explore at Messy Science?

The next series of Messy Science workshops will start in January. Please watch this space for further news.
